Overview

The most memorable brands communicate their values beyond visual identity through the physical space they inhabit. With Mauka, we were faced with the challenge of bringing an inviting, artisanal, human character into their very modern space.

The visual identity centres around an art nouveau-inspired logotype and a simple, slightly naive illustrative style that strikes a balance between feeling both modern and personal.

We hand-painted the logo and illustration across the front windows as well as their menu on mirrors suspended over the counter. In its nature, it has a more tactile feel and tops it off with a higher quality finish. It's these details that further articulate Mauka's attention to detail and their commitment to quality.
