Philosophy

Scout is guided by two main principles: that good design is straightforward and that the best designs feel human. We believe every element should have a reason for being there, favouring clarity over complexity and ideas over decoration. Tactile methods of production, such as hand-lettering, drawing and painting, are inseparable from our process. Working by hand leaves evidence of the maker in the work that give it character, create a stronger emotional connection, and ultimately make it more memorable.

Our process

We work collaboratively, keeping you involved without burdening you with the nitty-gritty. We begin by understanding your needs, defining the problem and establishing clear goals, then use these as the foundation for our creative decisions. We handle all painting in-house, carrying the work from concept to completion and ensuring the character of the design is preserved along the way.
